Let's see. Stability for decades. More revenue for the PAC12 network.


ESPN would get it distributed like they are getting the ACC Network distributed and got the SEC Network distributed. You can build in the "look In" on the rates each 5 years like the ACC and SEC are doing. One would think university presidents would be attracted to that certainty in budgeting.

Instead they continue the uncertainty of Larry Scott's "get rich quick" model and forecast for the future value of the content that not many see value in today with no certainty at all. It looks to me like Larry Scott thinks he's got Big Ten football inventory. I don't see any Ohio State-Michigan rivalry in his mix.

I don't know what ESPN offered, but I'm not assuming it was low ball. If the PAC12 was worried about streaming, Disney will be right there with everyone else.
